Running is great! Running is good for body and mind!
It helps to improve your endurance and your concentration: it is relaxing and it’s a way to recharge your batteries. But this is something that you already know... right?
On Lake Garda you can run everywhere and everyone can find their best path. This because there are kilometers of cycle paths and roads both on the flat or gently uphill.
If you prefer to run in the woods, surrounded by nature, I can assure you that Lake Garda’s hills and mountains will not disappoint you!
Many running events/races are organised every year here on Lake Garda.
In October there is the Lake Garda Marathon with 42.195 km along the shores of the Lake from Malcesine towards the Alto Garda. The same day there is also the Garda Run of 30km or 15km.
Big News for 2015 – there will be the Torbole Night Run – a 12km night run along the famous Busatte/Tempesta track over the flank of the Monte Baldo range.
In autumn, after the Lake Garda Marathon, there is the Garda Trentino Half Marathon of 21.097km. Here you can run 10 km or do the Fitwalking and Nordic Walking 21km.
Since 2011, Malcesine has been the host of the Lake Garda Mountain Race. Two paths, both starting from the shore of Lake Garda, one of 9 km arriving at an altitude of 1700m, and the other 12km long leading to the peak of Monte Baldo at an altitude of 2000mt.
Don’t forget the Limone Extreme:
- “Skyrace” is a vertical climb of 23km to reach 2000m above sea level.
- “Vertical” is a 3km long path to reach 1100 meters above sea level.
And if you already enjoy racing, try to imagine how it could be away from the city traffic, and surrounded by all such a beautiful environment: hills, water and beautiful mountains, that our Lake Garda can offer!
