We spent four fantastic nights at this hotel in early August, perfectly located right on Lake Garda with its own private beach. The hotel is about 25 minutes walk from Malcesine but you can borrow bikes at reception for free, cutting the commute to less than 10 minutes. We loved leisurely cycling into town for dinner at night, where you can chain your bike up easily. All part of the outstanding service at Val di Sogno, with a really comprehensive and delicious breakfast (order your eggs how you like them) with complimentary fruit in the afternoon. The spa is well worth paying extra for (18 euros), which you get exclusively for three hours – a private treat which really is excellently designed. Our room was spacious and clean with a great view of the lake. The pool and sun loungers are a little dated and in need of some new tiles, but we hardly used that area because the lake is so much more appealing. Just a hundred metres or so down the road is a place (Stickl) where you can hire pretty much any vessel you like and get windsurfing etc lessons. We did paddle boarding, which was a lot of fun. We also took part in the free yoga class at the hotel, which was also very good. All in all an absolutely brilliant stay, which is very hard to fault.

This is our 3rd visit to this lovely hotel. Great rooms and facilities, all with balconies overlooking the lake – amazing views. The garden is lovely, again amazing views and direct beach access (no road between hotel and lake). Since our last visit the dining room has been refurbished beautifully and the standard of breakfast has improved. It is lovely to be able to eat at a leisurely pace outdoors on the terrace, good choice of food and drink. We did not eat in the hotel in the evening, instead did the lovely lakeside walk to Malcesine (about half an hour at a relaxed pace). Sad to leave this place and we will be back!

Just returned from a week at this fantastic hotel. A great location with stunning views of the Lake and wonderful staff who make sure you make the most of your stay. We hope to return to Malcesine and would definitely stay at this hotel again.
