This is a loop trail, easy in the beginning but it gets more difficult in the second part when you leave the off-road track for the mule-track.
For Nordic Walking beginners and for those who like easy flat paths, just stay on the track on the way back.

Points of interest along this nordic walking trail
This walk crosses Contrada La Cà (District La Cà) which is today the entrance of Tenuta Cervi (link into italian) donated from Lord Bonoris to the Verona Don Provolo Institute.
Contrada La Cà is located just after the “Ponte del Diavolo” (Devil’s Bridge) which, according to folk tradition, had a bandit hideout nearby. Here you will find an ancient little Church dedicated to San Pietro and some houses which belong to the Tenuta Cervi workers.
In Prada you will find the simple and typically Romanic style San Bartolomeo Church which is worth seeing.
From San Zeno you walk north and just past Contrada Laguna stay right and follow the signs for "Ponte del Diavolo". Stay on the main street and past the "Ponte del Diavolo” (after a short climb) you arrive at Contrada La Cà where the easy off-road track begins.
For the next 2,5 km you will walk on the level with some slight uphills until you find on your right side an uphill path indicating "Prada" .
Here the path gets steeper than those suggested for Nordic Walking. Keep walking on the mule-track straight ahead for 1Km till you reach a fork in the road: you will be ascending 233m.
Here we suggest you take some minutes to visit San Bartolomeo Church located uphill on your left side.
Back at the fork in the road, keep left going downhill, remaining on path no.36 along the woods, till you get back to Contrada La Cà. The path is a mix of mule-track, stones and woodland. The downhill path will sometimes be steeper than the ideal for Nordic Walking.
You will descent around 2km with a drop of 280m.
Arriving at Contrada La Cà, take a left to go back to where you started.
This is a loop walk so you can do it both ways.
- It’s a lovely walk and an easy trek
- The easy off-road track at the beginning is also nice for a family bicycle trip or running trail
- In autumn it’s a beautiful walk just to admire all the changing colours that nature offers
- Do not enter Tenuta Cervi with your car as it’s a restricted traffic zone
- It’s a chestnut tree area, but be careful: in autumn, during the chestnut season, in some areas you are not allowed to collect them!

How to reach the starting point of the trail
The trail starts from Contrada Laguna, the last one north on the main road to San Zeno di Montagna, before turning right along the road to Tenuta Cervi.
It would be better to park in San Zeno. There are plenty of parking lots along the main road while in Laguna there are none. You can start the tour from here.
