The ease with which you can walk from the Lake up to Monte Baldo over 1800 mt, should not lead you to overlook basic precautions to enjoy your trip on the mountain. In the mountain the weather changes very quickly, make sure you are always carrying suitable clothing. Take hikes on trails that are suited for your abilities, never underestimate the mountain and never make rash behavior. So don't forget to get the right information about the trail you are going to hike and making sure you will have the right equipment. If you are planning to take a difficult trail, do not go alone and let somebody know which trail or itinerary you are going to take. Always have respect for the Nature. Stay always on the marked paths, never try to light up a fire, don't move rocks or roll stones, never move the trail markers in a different place and pick up the garbage. Remember always to bring enough liquids, a map of the area and a compass... While taking your hike, look around... You will see spectacular views.
From Malcesine to the summit of Monte Baldo there are many different trails with different kind of difficulty levels as well as duration, so giving such a big choice for every training and expectations. From Malcesine to S. Michele (middle station) you can take many trails not so difficult or long and part of them are asphalted. Once you have reached Tratto Spino (Monte Baldo station) you can find different paths with many places to rest if you want to spend a day in a quite place. For those who are more sporty, from this same place other different trails start, some of them really difficult. At the tourist office, it's possible to ask for a guide, where you will find a map of all the marked trails.
The trails have vertical/upright signals indicating localities, directions and the estimated distance from the main crosses. During all your trip you will find red/white/red marks indicating to you if you are following the right way/direction.
