We invite you to discover the world of kitesurfing with a basic course at Lake Garda, Europe’s mecca of kitesurfing and wind. Kitesurfing is a fun and engaging sport, but it is also a way to get involved with nature, feel free, and connect with it.
Kitesurfing is done by gliding across the water on a board, propelled by a kite in the direction of the wind. Suitable for everyone, the course is designed to make you independent in just a few days while having fun in a safe environment.
This basic course consists of a minimum of 1 day of lessons for 4 hours and can be extended up to 5 days. The group consists of a maximum of 4 people to ensure you learn faster.
The course in detail
The course starts at 10:30 a.m. at the kitesurfing school for the theory part of about an hour, where you will get to know the equipment and understand the various gaits and winds. Around 13:30, you will start practicing in the water by reaching a spot with optimal wind in a RIB. The first lesson begins with body drag, a fundamental technique for learning how to control the sail and move through the water without a board. In each lesson, you will take an extra step to consolidate your technique and start sailing with a board. At the end of the course, you will feel confident or secure enough to continue practising and improving on your own.
Who are your instructors
We are Alex and Louis from the Beekite kitesurfing school in Brenzone sul Garda. Our team consists of VDWS-certified instructors. Since 2019, we have taught the basics of kitesurfing, wing foil and e-foil to many beginners in a safe learning environment and helped those with experience improve effectively.
