The guide is experienced in evaluating risk and therefore avoids dangerous situations. He can teach you how not to take unnecessary risk. And then it is well known that a local guide knows everything about his mountain and he is ready to share the beauty of nature with you.
Gino Malfer
I’m Gino, the alpine guide of Arco Mountain Guide in Arco on Lake Garda.
I speak english and french, I am a multi-discipline climber and live in Dro. I teach rock climbing and mountaineering with personalised courses for children, teenagers and adults. For over 20 years I have accompanied beginners, enthusiasts and climbers into our mountains. Sensitive to the needs and requirements of each individual, I have taught the art of mountain climbing to over 1000 people.
I am an instructor and coach for rock climbing, route planning and examiner for the Italian FASI (Italian climbing federation) and a coach for the youth section of CONI. I am also a park guide and route planner for AINEVA (International association for expertise in snow conditions and avalanches).
Together with me you’ll find Fabrizio, Andrea and Francesco that are also International Alpine Guides from UIAGM that share my philosophy.
