Points of interest along this nordic walking trail

Do it if you need to take a break for a few hours, walking in relaxing and fascinating places. There are many different hamlets and all of them are beautiful and typical! Of course, you can also enjoy many spectacular views all along the way.

Tour description

Go southward from the parking lot in Sommavilla and, after a few meters, before the descent starts, turn left in Via Monteccio. Take the mule track on the left passing under the vault with road signs to path 31.

Carry on to Zignago, then Castello. When you get to Castello, take the uphill path on your left just before the church.

When the ascent is over, immediately before the parking lot on the left, take the little alley on the right with the cobblestones road. After a very short descend, follow the path in the field and, at the first junction keep going on the left, walk past the little church and, at the second junction keep going on the left to Venzo, Boccino and Cà Romana.

There you find a paved road with the ascent leading you to Campo di Brenzone. This uphill is fairly steep (but short) and is steeper than the gradient suitable for Nordic Walking.

When you get to Campo, take the path just after the church on the left which soon brings you to Fasor then Biaza and from there to Castelletto.

Once you get to the main road, cross the street and keep going northward, walking along the beach and passing through Marniga, Magugnano, Porto and Assenza.

At the roundabout in Assenza take the first uphill street on your right to Sommavilla.

Variant

The Nordic Walking Park of Brenzone sul Garda is made up of two 4 km long easy routes and two 6/7 km long medium routes.

Reducing the tour is also possible: you just have to go down to the beach and come back to Sommavilla from Castello, Cà Romana, Campo, Biaza or you can choose to walk along one of the shorter circular route.

Our suggestions

  • If you don’t feel like coming back walking along the beach you can catch the bus to go back to Sommavilla

The tour during the winter

Thanks to the walk being at low level, it can be enjoyed all year round.

Shelters, huts or bivouacs along the trail

None. At Campo you will find a drinking fountain.
