The via ferrata of Cima Capi, one of the most panoramic routes on Lake Garda and a must-try at least once, is the queen of Lake Garda.
The equipped trail, while not particularly exposed, runs entirely along the steep cliffs of the western shore of the upper Lake Garda. It offers breathtaking views of the lake and the Sarca Valley, with sections that amaze for the sheer verticality of the surrounding rock walls.
Once you reach Cima Capi, the route will take you through old walkways, fortifications, and tunnels built during the First World War. Your guide will accompany you in exploring these historically rich locations – don’t forget to bring a torch for the tunnels on the way back!
If you’re taking your first steps into the vertical world, you can tackle this via ferrata with the support of an Alpine Guide. The hike requires moderate physical effort due to the elevation gain, but it is also suitable for children aged 10 and up, as long as they are used to walking.
Who is accompanying you

Nice to meet you, I’m Mauro, International Alpine Guide UIAGM. I live in Arco since 2001 and in that very year I opened my alpinism school. For several years I’ve been living amazing adventures from the Alps to Patagonia, till the high peaks of Karakorum, following or opening new routes on these wild peaks. My goal now is to share my enthusiasm for the mountain with my guests.
I’m very proud of all my collaborators and my high qualified local Alpine Guides. My organization is not just an alpinism school but also a bunch of friends that wants to give you great experiences.
